I live in Massachusetts. I have a 6 year old child and I have sole, physical, and legal custody of her. Her dad has visits for once a month, just once a month. These visits are court ordered. I wanted to move to the big apple and I was wondering what if I just made the move, would I get in trouble? Her dad and I were NEVER married and he doesn't pay child support. I went throught the whoole process of filing a complaint for modification, I got him served, I filed the return of service with the court and now I am waiting on a court date. I don't know how long I will be waiting for the date either. I planned to be in the big apple by January and it is now Februrary. Any thoughts? Can I cancel the motion? I'd keep the visitations up.
